Detoxes and Cleanses

Choosing the right detox for you

A holistic approach to personal health includes attending to both mind and body, and a great way to improve your personal health is through our selection of products to rid your body of unwanted toxins.

There are many types of detoxes on the market and the choice can seem overwhelming. Follow this basic guide to help choose the product that’s right for you to reach your health goal.

Precleanse

A natural or herbal detox that lowers your toxin levels before taking a stronger detox. If you are worried that your toxin levels may be too high for a detox to work properly, you simply take a pre-cleanse in the days before you want to take your detox for your personal health deadline. It is best to take a pre-cleanse for at least 2 days prior to taking any classic quick flush.

Quick Flushes

Classic Quick Flush

A single-day detox that flushes toxins out of your digestive system which requires you to have stayed away from toxins for 48 hours prior to use. Your body is constantly and slowly breaking down toxins stored in your body, mainly in your fat cells. When you take a quick flush, it flushes out what your body has already broken down, and then your body takes hours (approximately 4-6 hours) to break down more toxins. This gives your digestive and expelling system a temporary relief of irritating toxins. Always take any quick flush 90 minutes – 2 hours prior to your personal health deadline on an empty stomach. Do not take any caffeine, nicotine or dairy products for 3-5 hours prior to taking any quick flush otherwise it will hinder the detox.

Instant Quick Flush

A single-day detox which only requires you to have stayed away from toxins for 12 hours prior to use. Works exactly like a Classic Quick Flush but with less prep time.

Permanent Cleanses

Permanent Detoxes

A permanent detox cleanses your body completely of toxins, including the toxins stored in your fat cells. All permanent detoxes take at least 5-10 days to complete. Permanent detoxes consist of taking capsules, liquid or a combination of both every day for the duration of the cleanse. In addition, it is adament that while taking any permanent detox that you drink plenty of water and stay away from any caffeine, nicotine, dairy products for the whole duration of taking the cleanse. Detoxes do not expel specific toxins only, so you want to maximize it’s effectiveness by keeping away from those said toxins so it can focus on the toxins you are trying to expel. Furthermore, staying away from fatty foods is also important to getting out those stored toxins in your fat cells. You do not want to add any new layers of fat cells because it could hinder the effectiveness of the detox. Say bye-bye to fast food and focus on healthy fruits, vegetables and baked/grilled white meats like chicken or fish for the duration of your permanent detox. While taking a permanent detox, it can also be helpful to run or work out in order to sweat out toxins faster. Just be sure to keep drinking plenty of water to help the detox flush the toxins out. If you get tired of water, you can substitute non-caffeinated green tea, suger-free cranberry juice or sip on pickle juice (but do not excess).

Targeted Cleanses

Hair Detoxes

A shampoo or bar soap for head hair or body hair which expels toxins from your follicles and hair shaft pores. Hair detoxes normally only take about 30 minutes to do and each hair detox has it’s own specific directions. Your hair is constantly growing and your body is always sweating out toxins, so if you have not already finished a permanent detox or are not already completely toxin free in the rest of your body, the hair detox will not be a permanent solution. In that case, be sure to do a hair detox the day of your personal health deadline. In addition, be sure to use a brand new brush, comb or towel after you do a hair detox so that you do not transfer any unwanted toxins back into your hair. You may also blow dry your hair and style it as normal after you complete your hair detox.

Detox Mouthwash

A detox mouthwash is not a permanent solution because you are constantly salivating. Each mouthwash will have it’s own specific directions of use. Be sure to do any detox mouthwash within 15 minutes prior to your personal health deadline. Do not chew gum, eat or drink anything after doing a detox mouthwash until your personal health deadline is past.
